Wanna learn English in sleep?

That is easy. First you need a motorcycle. Thats pretty much it - and you need to arrange an accident. Make sure you do not die and hey, you can speak any language you want:

A Czech motorcycle racer who was involved in a smash that saw another biker ride over his head came round and started speaking perfect English.

Speedway rider Matej Kus had only mastered a few basic phrases of the language at the time he was knocked off his bike during a race in the UK.

After the smash he was unconscious for 45 minutes, then came round and amazed his team-mates by asking questions in perfect English - with no trace of an accent.

Unfortunately, his new-found language skills did not last.

After the bang on the head - which split his helmet open - he lost his memory for 48 hours.

But when it returned he forgot the English he had miraculously learned.

Damn, did I tell you that you have to repeat it every 48 hours?

...to a two per cent pay rise

Same for me!. How about a 100% pay decrease for ALL DAY OFF? :D

Read on: 'Finns would rather have five more days off annually than to receive a two per cent pay rise. This is the result of a survey

For an employee who earns EUR2.500 per month and has a 40 hour working week the two options calculatorily have identical values.

A clear majority of the respondents in all age groups preferred the "five more days off annually" option. The highest provision (76 per cent) was scored among employees in the 35 to 50 year age group. In the group for those over 50 years of age 70 per cent of the respondents chose the more days off option. And among employees who are under 35 years of age 57 per cent responded similarly.'

Whatever ;)

Collapse of bridge in Minneapolis?

So how can this happen? this is USA right? You would *never* expect a eight-lane interstate bridge collapsing into the Mississippi River. At least I would never think of that possibility.

Twenty to thirty people are still missing, and about five people are confirmed dead, and about 80 people were injured.

I mean this is not the 18th century of so. Why the hell is no one looking after this? Should be fairly easy to check such a bridge on a yearly basis and take appropriate actions? Doh -- shame...

*edit, btw: Is this the first blog here for more then one year here? 8/*
