Uri Geller, Copperfield, Chris Angel... Alles kommt so "übersinnlich" rüber heutzutage. Aber es gibt ihn, den Kämpfer wider dem Hype... James Randi (siehe Bild).

James Randi ist Gründer der nach ihm benannten James Randi Education Foundation (JREF). Die James Randi Educational Foundation ist eine Non-Profilt Organisation und wurde 1996 gegründet. Das Zielt ist schwer ins Deutsche zu übersetzen: "Promote critical thinking by reaching out to the public and media with reliable information about paranormal and supernatural ideas so widespread in our society today".

Ihr habt übernatürliche Kräfte? Eine Million Dollar gefällig?

Die Organisation gibt jeder Person, welche ihre übernatürlichen Kräfte unter wissenschaftlichen Umständen beweisen kann, einen Preis von 1,000,000 Dollar! Dabei müssen die Konditionen der Tests mit James Randi abgestimmt sein: "The JREF does not involve itself in the testing procedure, other than helping to design the protocol and approving the conditions under which a test will take place. All tests are designed with the participation and approval of the applicant. In most cases, the applicant will be asked to perform a relatively simple preliminary test of the claim, which if successful, will be followed by the formal test." [Quelle]

Bisher hat noch niemand diesen einfachen Vor-Test bestanden. Richtig, niemand hat noch nicht einmal den einfachen Vor-Test bestanden. Ein Mentalist von ProSieben hätte doch gerne eine Million Dollar. Tja, aber warum wohl bekommt er den Preis nicht? Weil er weiss, dass es nur ein Trick ist und das alles nichts mit übernatürlichen oder okkulten Kräften zu tun hat...

Wer sich dennoch die Million sichern will, kann sich hier bewerben. Ich persönlich glaube, dass es eine sichere Bank ist, darauf zu wetten, dass das Geld niemals (NIEMALS) an jemanden ausgegeben wird...
