Washington - US-Präsident George W. Bush und Ehefrau Laura müssen für 2005 ein Jahreseinkommen von 618.694 Dollar versteuern.

Wie das Weiße Haus in Washington weiter mitteilte, zahlt das Ehepaar 187.768 Dollar Einkommenssteuer.

Das Präsidentenpaar habe im vergangenen Jahr mehr als 75.000 Dollar an Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen, das Rote Kreuz sowie Betroffene der Hurrikan-Katastrophen gespendet. Vizepräsident Dick Cheney gab für 2005 ein Einkommen von mehr als 8,8 Millionen Dollar an.

ist es schlimm, wenn politiker nicht von ihrem gehalt abhängen? ist es nicht viellleicht sogar besser?

und noch ein aktuelles beispiel: gouverneur schwarzenegger musste für 2002-2004 55 mio versteuern ... davon ca 17 mio in 2003 und 2004 OHNE einen film ... die 17 macht er mit seinen immobilien ..
ich finde das cool!
